This school specialises in supporting children and young people aged 11–16 with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, as well as a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN). Key Responsibilities: Support teachers in planning and delivering tailored, high-quality lessons for students with SEN. Provide targeted support and interventions to individuals and small groups. Assist with the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that engages all learners. Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to promote student success. Lead small group activities and learning sessions under teacher guidance. Contribute to the continuous improvement of the school's inclusive practices. Qualifications and Experience: HLTA qualification – Essential. Minimum of 3 years' experience working within SEN settings, ideally across at least two schools. Confidence working with students with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), even if previous experience has been mainly with Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD). Willingness to assist with personal care tasks if required. A valid DBS registered on the Update Service – Essential. Benefits: Competitive salary: £23,000 – £25,000 per annum.
