The aims of this post are to tackle fuel poverty by providing a service specifically targeted at the most vulnerable and financially excluded people and communities. The post holder will provide a flexible menu of service including welfare benefits and energy efficiency advice. NEA energy awareness training will be provided to suitable candidate.
* Provide advice covering the full range of welfare benefits as well as energy efficiency advice in a holistic approach that takes into account the whole advice need of the client.
* Undertake and manage ongoing casework as appropriate to the project.
* Ensure income maximisation through the take up of appropriate benefits.
* Assist clients with other related problems where they are an integral part of their case and refer to other advisers or specialist agencies as appropriate.
* Deal with client's enquiries face to face by; appointment or drop-in sessions, at outreaches, by telephone, occasionally home visits or by other electronic methods
* Ensure that all casework conforms to the St Anns Advice Group's Office Manual and Advice Quality Standard requirements.
* Maintain case records for the purpose of the continuity of casework, information retrieval, statistical monitoring, and report preparation.
