Contribute to the delivery of a new-build standard for affordable housing by providing quality control services on new build projects. Ensure compliance with building regulations, fire safety measures, and health & safety legislation.
* Inspect sites fortnightly or weekly to ensure compliance with building contracts and regulations.
* Monitor contractors' quality standards, identify potential defects, and ensure health and safety on-site.
* Attend pre-start and progress meetings, and act as the client's representative.
* Resolve defects during the defect liability period and end of defects inspections.
* Support the Technical Manager in identifying and resolving latent defect challenges.
Required skills:
* Strong technical knowledge of house building and construction.
* Knowledge of regulations affecting affordable home construction.
* Experience in dealing with and resolving latent defects.
* Ability to build and maintain good working relations with various people.
* Good IT literacy and ability to work under own initiative.
