Our client is currently seeking a Registered Building Control Surveyor to join their esteemed team in Central London. This is a permanent role requiring a minimum of Class 2D registration, with the vast majority of projects being large-scale commercial undertakings such as retail and office fit-outs.
Key Responsibilities:
Reviewing and approving building plans to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
Conducting site inspections and assessments during various phases of construction
Issuing certificates of compliance and non-compliance for building projects
Collaborating with contractors, architects, and engineers to address any issues with regulations
Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all inspections and approvals
Managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to standards
Providing expert advice on building control matters to internal teams and external stakeholders
Enhancing client relationships through effective communication and timely service delivery
Job Requirements:
Experience in building control or a related field
Class 2D certification (minimum)
Strong understanding of regulatory compliance within the construction industry
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise tasks effectively
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
