Job Description:
The Aggregates Sales Representative for our Brechin Quarry is responsible for prospecting, quote preparation, customer visits, profitability reviews, accurate reporting, and attending association events. They will manage the existing customer base, grow the customer portfolio through prospecting, and leverage existing relationships. Regular customer visits are part of the role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
* Promote sales to existing clients
* Identify and solicit potential clients
* Provide clients with relevant product information and appropriate uses
* Estimate and quote prices, credit or contract terms, warranties, and delivery rates
* Prepare and oversee sales contracts
* Consult with clients after sale to resolve issues and provide ongoing support
* Review and adapt product information based on market realities
* Manage customer accounts and interact with AR
* Ensure quality products are delivered on time
* Set up contracts in SAP
* Backup scale attendant when required
* Maintain a professional, motivated, and self-starting attitude
* Coordinate dock operations, oversee staff performance, and ensure workflow efficiency
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Proficiency in MS Office and CRM systems (preferably Salesforce.com)
* University degree or college diploma in a related field
* At least 5 years of sales experience or related industry experience
* Background in Aggregates is required
* Supervision experience is an asset
* Quality Control experience is an asset
* Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce
* Understanding of the Aggregate trucking industry
WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
* Work varies from office to customer sites and construction locations. Occasional weekends and evenings may be required.
