We also supply other Wholesale Distributors under the “Wholegreen” brand, which is where this exciting role will sit. Wholegreen makes up about 20% of revenue and is an important supply chain model to the UK Solar PV and ESS market. What sets us apart in the market is the access to our unique on-line portal and design tool, plus our emphasis on product quality, consistency and availability at everyday good pricing. Segen’s UK growth and market share penetration continues, and we now seek to add to our existing Wholegreen team with a confident and target driven Wholegreen Relationships Manager. Candidate Profile This is a hybrid purchasing role, but incorporating relationship development within our Wholegreen brand via the sales team. The successful candidate will play a fundamental role in reducing key product shortages by secondary sourcing through our Wholegreen customer group, and further afield. In doing so, you may also generate leads for the Wholegreen sales team and discuss inventory on both sides. You must be self-motivated and driven to achieve KPIs, and comfortable pro-actively contacting customers, and potential suppliers. Building on these relationships you must be able to use your powers of persuasion to convince our wholegreen customers of the benefits of reciprocal arrangements when looking for secondary sourcing of key product shortages. This role requires confidence in building rapport and strategic relationships remotely, whilst being able to understand the customer chain of influence. You must be engaging, assertive, personable, helpful, knowledgeable, persuasive and must be a team player. You should be able to recognize sales and purchasing opportunities and identify and develop key relationships. Knowledge and experience of the solar PV, battery storage, EV markets would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be given. It would be beneficial to have existing relationships within the Electrical Wholesale/Distribution market. The successful candidate will work collaboratively across our Wholegreen Sales Team and our Global Supply Chain Team. Sales call preparation and execution Setting own call objectives Recognising and following-up real opportunities in a timely, professional manner Ability to work in a busy sales environment IT proficient Negotiation skills Commercial awareness Teamwork Key Responsibilities: Achieve pre-defined KPIs Develop and maintain trusting relationships with a portfolio of wholesaler clients, existing and new Gain a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, and sell accordingly where appropriate Gain a thorough understanding of key customer products and brands in order to utilise this information when tenaciously second sourcing key product shortages. Understand customer chain of influence and be able to buy and sell to key decision makers through to branch staff as appropriate. Understand Wholegreen’s product portfolio to be able to suggest alternatives where required Diligent and timely call recording and use of our CRM Continuous development of own product and industry knowledge and selling skills Provide competitor intelligence to the wider Segen team Placing and managing outgoing POs Identifying and resolving critical shortages Liaise with Finance department to open new Trade Accounts Work within Segen’s pre-defined processes
