Full time permanent role – Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
Up to £70,000 salary, £7,000 car allowance and up to 15% bonus

About the company
Imerys British Lithium (IBL) is developing a world-class micaceous lithium resource in Cornwall. We have developed unique, patented technology for the sustainable recovery of battery grade lithium carbonate from micaceous granite, with the goal of building the world’s first integrated lithium mine, beneficiation plant and refinery producing 20,000 tonnes of lithium carbonate per year (enough to support production in the UK each year of 350,000 electric vehicles) by the end of the decade.
We operate a state-of-the-art pilot plant, built to develop our unique LiMica-Sep and Li-Sep technologies. Capabilities at the facility involve a wide range of process technologies, such as mineral beneficiation, pyrometallurgy, hydrometallurgy, precipitation, crystallisation, and ion exchange, at both the laboratory and industrial scales.
The job role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing project which is ‘one of a kind’ in the UK. Working closely with a number of internal stakeholders, this role collaborates with the Project Director, Workstream Leads, Accounting, and Contract Managers managing the project from a financial perspective, ensuring alignment of costs and schedules across the entire project. An ability to business partner with non-financial colleagues is critical to the success of this role. Key responsibilities are:
* Project cost controlling
* Monthly reporting and analysis against forecast
* Building, animating and presenting the Business Plan
* Responsible for all financial analysis topics for the Project Deliverables
* Establishment and maintenance of the accounting structure
* Supporting the SAP implementation for the project
* Business partnering with non-financial colleagues

You will:
* Be a qualified accountant holding a qualification from a recognised accountancy body (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW)
* Preferably have a Master/Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering with a Business component
* Have significant experience of working as a Financial Controller within an industrial setting and experience of project controlling
* Be an experienced business partner
* Be adaptable and flexible in your approach
* Be a team player
