The role
As a Production Supervisor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. If you can bring technical and team leading skills and a safe working attitude, then we can provide you with one of the most exciting engineering projects this country has to offer.
Day-to-day, you’ll work alongside other experienced professionals like yourself who are engaged in the leading of your Trade team, who will be carrying out Electrical, Welding, Fabrication or Lifting related activities in a production environment supporting the Type 31 Royal Navy Frigate (T31) unit build - from piece part creation through to manufacture and whole ship build. You will also:
* Create and review Risk Assessments.
* Ensure that Tool-box Talks and Safety Briefs are effectively communicated and adhered to.
* Establish and ensure that safe working practices and the working environment are in accordance with the company policies.
* Manage the workload to meet programme requirements whilst achieving cost, time and quality requirements.
* Take full ownership of activity levels within the area.
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to pass a targeted medical questionnaire and/or medical examination as a condition of employment for this role.
This role is full time, 36 hours per week and is based on site at Rosyth.
Essential experience of the Production Supervisor
* Strong trade background with relevant qualifications and experience.
* Effective interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Proficient in planning and coordinating tasks efficiently.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
* Skilled in leading teams, prioritising tasks, and delegating work in a dynamic environment.
Qualifications for the Production Supervisor
* Time served with extensive recent and relevant experience in a Mechanical discipline. ONC/HNC preferred but not essential.
* Familiar with installation of pumps, valves, pipework, shaft lines, Engines, Rudders, Stabilizers etc.
* Requirement to read and understand Installation Drawings including Pipe.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
