GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY Reporting to Senior Production manager, the Production Manager will take full responsibility of directing the manufacturing process of products in factories or their production area, to ensure that high volumes of quality products are created within strict timelines and budgets. Production Manager are also responsible for the health and safety of all staff under their management on the production line. The role involves planning, monitoring and controlling the means of production to deliver products profitably and efficiently. SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES: Plan and draw up a production schedule Decide on and order the resources that are required and ensure stock levels remain adequate Select equipment and take responsibility for its maintenance Set the quality standards Ensure that the production will be cost effective by estimating costs and negotiating and agreeing budgets with both clients and managers Monitor the production processes and adjust schedules as needed Monitor productivity rates and product standards and implement quality control programmes Organise the repair of any damaged equipment Liaise with different departments, teams and companies, e.g. suppliers, managers, clients Control of all necessary documentary Ensure that health and safety guidelines are always followed Ensure customer orders are completed on time and to budget and that quality standards and targets are met Work with managers to implement the company's policies and goals Collate and analyse data, putting together production reports for both factory managers and customers PEOPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES: Share a trusting relationship with workgroup and recruit, manage and develop staff. Provide leadership and direction to the Team. Lead, manage, control and develop all employees (including absence, performance management, grievances and Health and Safety Training) using SMART objectives during regular review and feedback meetings. Manage the performance of teams by setting goals and objectives, review KPI’s, coaching and performance improvement. Encourage involvement in cross functional teams and company initiatives (Health and safety, charity, problem solving teams). Assess and evaluate training needs of direct reports, ensure training and development needs are met within departmental plans. supervising and managing the work of junior staff EXPECTED OUTCOMES: Close collaboration with Senior Production Manager and Operations. Facilitate communication between Designers, Directors, and staff. Development of plant and production processes Strong leadership and coaching of staff.
