Client: My client has been trading for almost 40 years and has a very strong client base. Much of their work involves design and build office, restaurant, and high-end residential fit-out. Other work includes traditional tender and build projects.
They have a bulletproof bank sheet, own their own offices, and have a sensible, but ambitious view on the growth of the business, with a turnover in excess of £10m. Within the office, there is a real family feel, with the directors leading from the front by being in the office and out on site.
Having recently secured a number of projects, they are now looking to recruit for their operations team.
Role: Electrical Project Manager - £60,000 - £70,000 + Quarterly Productivity Bonus (based on a % of individual & entire department job profits), own car with mileage allowance for work-related journeys.
Working closely with our clients, our existing lively and motivated office team, subcontractors, suppliers, and our Contracts Directors, he/she will price and manage projects, usually from cradle to grave, including preconstruction to commissioning, handover, and final account, ensuring all H & S supervision and paperwork is completed. The role is driven to provide the best value solutions, delivered on time, within budget, and to the clients' complete satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensure successful execution and completion of the Electrical Installation Projects ranging in size from £10k - £1.5m, usually several concurrently.
2. Meet defined timescales.
3. Ensure quality standards and commercial objectives while maintaining excellent working relationships with our established clients.
4. Electrical design.
5. Technical submissions.
6. Project reporting to clients.
7. Oversee site team.
8. Manage project finances.
The ideal candidate:
1. Have 3 years of experience as an Electrical Project Manager.
2. Ability to take ownership of projects and lead teams.
3. Ability to oversee multiple jobs at any one time.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Client-facing skills.
