Help unlock the full-potential of a newly created large scale, high availability, low-latency, proprietary platform used by millions across the UK and U.S. Manchester City Centre (2 days p/w in office) Flexible working hours £95k - £109k per annum plus 10% bonus benefits THE ROLE: Reporting to the CTO, your will be working closely with cross-functional teams of Engineering Managers, Technical Architects, g Programme Managers, Product Owners, and business stakeholders, to deliver high-quality solutions for across the organisation. Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, define solution objectives, and work with Technical Architects to design end-to-end technology solutions that align with business goals. Engage with business stakeholders, Project Managers, and Technical Architects to gather requirements, provide regular progress updates, and ensure alignment between business objectives and technical implementation. Discover and document the current technology landscape highlighting duplication in functionality and opportunities for consolidation and simplification. Work with third-party suppliers and manage relationships at a technical level. Design and present conceptual solutions to business and technical stakeholders. Assess existing systems, identify integration points, and develop strategies for seamless integration with new and current technologies. Create and maintain detailed solution architecture documentation, including system diagrams, reusable artefacts, technical specifications, and best practice guidelines. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluate their potential benefits and drawbacks, and make recommendations for their incorporation into existing or new solutions. Identify potential technical risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success, including scalability, performance, security, and data integrity considerations. Requirements: Significant experience as a Technical Architect within a software development environment. Strong understanding of software development methodologies, architectural patterns, and technologies such as cloud computing, microservices, APIs, database systems, and web technologies. Experience with large-scale, complex distributed systems Ability to comprehend complex business requirements and translate them into practical technical solutions that align with business objectives. Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and ability to foster a positive work environment conducive to innovation and creativity Desirable Experience working in a highly regulated environment. Hands-on experience in designing Cloud and Hybrid solutions. Knowledge of security architecture and secure design. Experience in CI/CD practices and strategies.
