I have a great opportunity for a Product Developer & Garment Technologist to join a sportswear brand based in Manchester.
You will be accountable for the garment technology and development of apparel collections across men’s and womenswear.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage critical paths internally and with external suppliers on a weekly basis to ensure the production process is on track and that all key dates and deadlines are adhered to
2. Liaise with design to review submissions and samples and organise feedback to suppliers in a timely manner.
3. Liaise with design on style handovers, fabric and trim developments. Responsible for working closely with design to develop product from initial tech pack stage through to final production.
4. Ensure fit sessions are carried out in an organised manner, working alongside priority lists to ensure there are no delays to the critical path
5. Build and maintain strong relationships with the external supply base
6. Responsible for approving lab dips, print strike offs, trim submissions, bulk fabrics and samples alongside design and garment tech
7. Must be able to price engineer garments alongside design and brand expectations to hit the target margins set and negotiate these prices with suppliers with guidance from seniors.
8. Work closely with merchandising to manage the product range plan, keep this up to date and ensure orders are sent to suppliers efficiently.
You must have a minimum of 3 years Product development & Garment Technology experience working in similar business environment or able to demonstrate transferable skills.
