There are 2 x posts available at 37 hours. The shift pattern for these positions are Monday to Friday. Applications are sought from highly motivated individuals for an Advanced practice podiatrist (orthopaedics) within the largest Podiatry service in Scotland. The post is based across orthopaedics service in NHS GGC, Managed by the Hosted podiatry service, t he post holder will provide specialist and complex assessment, review and interventions for a high risk and complex caseload managed by podiatry and working collaboratively within the orthopaedic specialist area providing pre-surgical and post-surgical consultation, investigation, intervention and care. They will also provide education and support within the scope of their specialism to the podiatry service and beyond. The Podiatry Service delivers high quality care to patients and their carers thorough the provision of triage, assessment, diagnosis and treatment to a diverse range of conditions and patient types in a variety of environments. The service is patient centred and needs led with clinical assessment and diagnosis leading to management plans tailored to meet the needs of individual patients. There is a focus on rehabilitation with a self-care element included in treatment plans where appropriate. Excellent communication skills, high levels of motivation, self-discipline and an ability to demonstrate caring and compassion are essential to this role.
