Job Overview:
Clinical trials are part of the clinical research and at the heart of all medical advances, including precision medicine. You will be part of this rarely available opportunity to work at the cutting edge of treatment development in a wide variety of malignancies, as part of an established team of consultants, using histopathology, immunohistochemistry and fluorescent in-situ hybridisation for diagnostic and biomarker assessment. This is an exciting opportunity to improve quality of life with patients with acute and debilitating life-threatening conditions. The post comprises 10 Programmed Activities, with the initial appointment to 9 DCC and 1 SPA. There is no on-call commitment. There is no requirement for participation in surgical cut-up / trimming, gynae cytopathology or autopsy work.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Support laboratory operations to deliver on sponsor requests and studies.
* Oversight of technical processes and procedures impacting pathology interpretations.
* Release timely reports into LIMS for sponsor and/or clinical site action.
Requirements:
- Medical Degree (Doctor of Medicine, or foreign equivalent)
- Full Registration with a Licence to Practise from the General Medical Council
- Fellowship of The Royal College of Pathologists (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years' experience of independent reporting practice.
- Placement on the Specialist Register of the GMC is required.

The estimated annual salary range for this role is £100,000 - £120,000 based on the location and industry standards.
