About this Role
Brink Constructors, Inc.
This position is responsible for the direction, guidance, safety health and welfare, of all site staff including documentation and execution of the day to day field operational needs of the individual project. They assist the Superintendent in managing the day to day crews and sub-contractors. They ensure safe working conditions, everyone is trained and understands all hazards of each job site, and what is taking place with respect to productivity.
What You'll Do
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
* Directly responsible for leading and working with a crew which consists of Journeyman, Apprentices, Operators, and Groundmen.
* Lay out work and ensure materials, tools, equipment, and information are on the job site in the proper locations to meet construction schedules.
* Interact with Superintendent or Project Manager and oversee complete installation on smaller projects.
Project Safety
* Understand and comply with Company/Job Safety Requirements (O.S.H.A.).
* Comply with Company Policies and Standard Operating Procedures.
* Apply discipline to field staff when necessary.
* Ensure all emergency phone numbers for the projects are understood and know the closest hospitals and routes in case of emergency.
* Cooperate and work with Safety Department to ensure safety incidents are investigated openly and honestly.
* Ensure all safety flashes and safety information are posted and disseminated to all field personnel.
Equipment and Tools
* Ensure minor maintenance, upkeep, and service are being completed.
* Train employees and document their training for the safe operation of each piece of equipment or tool.
* Ensure staff is trained on equipment they are operating.
* Organize materials and tools to maintain clean and neat work areas.
* Properly and effectively install electrical systems as required.
* Accurately and timely troubleshoot all types of wiring.
* Safely use and instruct proper use of all power tools, saws, threaders, wire tuggers, hydraulic benders, and KO punches.
Production
* Communicate to the crew, subcontractors, and owner to maintain a good working relationship.
* Inventory, record keeping, organization, and usage of materials required.
Project Paperwork and Documentation
* Read and understand all contract requirements and paperwork documentation.
* Accurately oversee time reporting and proper coding of time sheets.
* Ensure all paperwork is completed timely and accurately.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
* Job may require working in all elements, depending on job location, time of year, heat, cold, rain, or snow.
* Job may require operation of equipment in all elements without climate control.
* Must utilize construction site sanitary facilities.
* Job requires employee to have required hand tools while at the work site.
* Must always wear personal protective equipment.
* Ability to work 8 hours per day, night shift, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required.
* Valid Driver’s License and have own transportation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
* Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, and reach overhead.
* Ability to lift work loads of 51 lbs.
* Possess good vision/hearing.
* Ability to work from all types of ladders.
* Perform work at various heights, up to 90 ' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, or other safe work areas.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
* Journeyman Certificate
* High school Graduate, Holder of G.E.D., or equivalent studies/experience.
* Minimum of 4 years of previous experience.
* NCCCO (preferred, not required)
