DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
4Studio is the driving force behind C4's digital acceleration strategy, with the objective to create, adapt and distribute brilliant content across our social and digital channels, building engaged audiences that deliver digital views at scale.
JOB PURPOSE
We're looking for a social-first Senior Producer, Food with experience of managing a team creating original short-form digital food & drink content across multiple platforms. You will lead a small in-house social-first food production team, creating social food video content from scratch and managing all key stakeholders. The Senior Producer, Food requires a passion for managing a team and strong knowledge of what works across the social food content spectrum, especially short-form content.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Managing a social-first food production team tasked with developing and producing a range of short-form, social food content.
* Ensuring food is presented in a visually appealing way, grabbing audience's attention from the get-go.
* Liaising with internal teams and Channel 4 commissioners regarding the editorial and production of the content.
* Where relevant, you might get hands-on - including producing, editing, appearing on camera, and running shoots as needed.
* Refining or adapting recipe ideas into fully functioning series.
* Experience of fast turnaround or reactive content is a must.
* Responsible for overseeing production design and branding working with the Design Department as needed.
* Working with Development Producer to create ideas or bring ideas to life.
* Eventually, approving all aspects of pre & post-production, e.g. video edits.
* You will need experience of working to strict budgets and timelines.
* You won't be responsible for reporting, but you'll work with data analysts and dashboards to refine and inform your future work.
* Empathy towards our diverse audience is essential to ensure authentic representation in food content.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Great editorial judgement, with proven experience of creating quality social-first food video from ideation to execution.
* Must be socially native, with a strong understanding of what food & drink content audiences engage with online.
* Thorough understanding of processes, workflows, tools, and methodologies - including post-production processes.
* Ability to shoot and edit is desirable.
* Strong desire and ideally experience appearing on camera - when needed.
* Significant experience of managing creative and production teams.
* Ability to use data to inform production.
* Experience correctly budgeting productions and being accountable for budgets at a project level.
* Experience making longer-form, food entertainment content is a bonus.
* Proven experience of complex stakeholder management.
* Must have excellent verbal and written communication and be a confident presenter.
* Experience of working for a broadcaster, brand, or in an agency environment.

HYBRID WORKING
From September 2023, employees will be working a minimum of 3 days per week in their office location. The other 2 days should be working from home. This pattern is subject to future changes which will be communicated in advance.
