This role is responsible for building on the excellent reputation of IPP with accountability across the UK&I. Travel and overnight stays will be expected. A key part of this role is identifying and securing profitable new business opportunities for IPPs as well as maintaining relationships and retaining the current customer base. You will have 5+ years’ experience within a fast-paced logistics environment with awareness of FMCG, and you will be able to build and maintain strong, positive relationships via effective communication. You will be an inquisitive individual who asks relevant supply chain questions to drive value. You will have the ability to analyze and assess situations quickly and effectively to reach an appropriate and timely solution to complex issues, which may include the need for difficult conversations. You will have demonstrable experience in data analysis to drive results, in addition to the ability to use this information to work with other team members to achieve high standards of service. You will have a commercially aware perspective and understand the importance of market trends on business performance. You enjoy variety and challenge and are able to maintain a positive approach in a fast-paced environment while working with autonomy and remotely, but also as part of the commercial accounts team. 1. Educated to Degree Level (or equivalent experience).
2. 5 years’ operational exposure with FMCG Knowledge.
3. 5 years’ experience in pooling activities or FMCG supply chain.

With new business, you will identify and target new sectors and customers across UK&I to deliver IPP growth targets. You will develop a new business strategy for IPP, identifying sectors, markets, and customers for self and the team to pursue. This will be done through networking, referrals, attendance at events and awards, internet and research plus any other means available. Upon identifying potential customers, you will seek and secure meetings with key decision-makers to sell pallet pooling and specifically the benefits of working with IPP. Accurate reporting of the sales pipeline for self and the team from lead through to quoting and winning business, ensuring CRM accurately reflects our performance at all times is essential. Customer retention will be maintained through regular customer engagement to ensure efficient supply chain operation, identifying and implementing collaborative opportunities to drive value and promote contract maximization. With current customers, you will be ensuring account balances are accurately managed, high service levels are maintained or exceeded, and customer satisfaction is enhanced while maximizing all opportunities within the commercial framework. Continuous feedback to the business regarding key information obtained is critical to ensure agility and relevance in our sales and marketing approach.
