DMOS People is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of our client, who are seeking an experienced QHSE & Technical Compliance Manager to join their team in Trafford Park, Manchester. This key role is responsible for ensuring compliance with Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards, as well as overseeing regulatory and technical compliance in vehicle bodybuilding and conversions.
What you could be doing...
* Managing and maintaining QHSE policies, procedures, and compliance across all areas of the business
* Leading root cause analysis (RCA) investigations and driving continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensuring all vehicle bodybuilding and modifications comply with Type Approval (IVA, VCA, DVSA) and industry regulations
* Conducting risk assessments, audits, and workplace inspections to ensure health, safety, and environmental compliance
* Developing and implementing quality management systems (ISO 9001, 14001, 45001) to improve processes and maintain certifications
* Investigating non-conformance reports, incidents, and near misses, implementing corrective and preventative measures
* Managing and maintaining Body Builder programmes within various dealership networks
* Overseeing the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring adherence to COSHH, PUWER, and LOLER regulations
* Monitoring non-conformance reports (NCRs) and tracking customer feedback to drive product and process improvements
* Ensuring all build documentation and technical specifications are accurate and up to date
* Providing expert technical guidance on vehicle construction standards, materials, and compliance requirements
* Delivering QHSE training to employees, fostering a strong safety culture within the organisation
* Liaising with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and clients to maintain compliance and uphold industry standards
What we’re looking for...
* Proven experience in a QHSE and compliance role within vehicle bodybuilding, automotive, or engineering industries
* Strong knowledge of Type Approval, IVA, VCA, and relevant industry standards
* NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent Health & Safety certification (ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 knowledge highly desirable)
* Understanding of fabrication, welding, and vehicle construction processes
* A strong leader who can foster a safety-first culture and influence positive change across the business
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to risk management
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise confidently with regulatory bodies, suppliers, and internal teams

This is a permanent role, and you will be employed directly by the employer. The role operates Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
