Operations Director - Facilities Management
Location: South Yorkshire, Rotherham
Salary: £80,000 - £85,000 + Car Allowance + Excellent Benefits Package
A truly unique opportunity to join a market-leading facilities management business in the newly created role of Operations Director. This is a key role where you will be pivotal in developing, maintaining, and enhancing relationships with clients and key stakeholders. You will provide excellent operational leadership and be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of contracts within your remit.
This role involves managing a multitude of clients across the North half of the UK, taking full accountability for over 80+ clients with a combined contract value of circa £30 million. The ideal candidate should be located around the South Yorkshire region and must be prepared to travel as required. The contracts are mainly Hard FM contracts with a mixture of new and longstanding clients. You will manage a large and diverse team with approximately 5 direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Accountable for the financial performance of the contracts
2. Full P&L Responsibility
3. Ensure that all risks relating to safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) are effectively managed
4. Develop effective working relationships with operational personnel, business partners, suppliers, and sub-contractors
5. Maintain strong relationships with clients, staff, and subcontractors
6. Set, monitor, and control SLAs
7. Seek out potential growth opportunities within the contract
8. Maintain positive and successful relationships with each client
Candidate Profile:
1. Proven background managing multi-site contracts (ideally + £15 million)
2. Technical background is an advantage but not essential
3. Previous management experience within the FM/Building Services or Engineering Sector
4. 5+ years of experience in the Facilities Management sector
5. Hardworking and driven individual committed to the job
6. Commercially aware with a sound ability to spot opportunities
