Site Engineer – Rail Project
Location: Leicester
Contract Duration: 12 months
My client is a leading sub-contractor working on a major rail project and is currently recruiting a Site Engineer for a 12 month project. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of engineering related to the rail works and associated infrastructure packages.
Site Engineer Responsibilities:
* Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager and foreman.
* Site setup and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
* Completing all setting out for the rail project and associated infrastructure works.
* Ensuring quality assurance and control across all aspects of the project.
* Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
* Monitoring and reporting on project progress and any potential issues.
* Assisting with technical support and problem-solving on-site.
Site Engineer Requirements:
* CSCS card.
* SMSTS or SSSTS certification – Desirable but not essential.
* Previous experience in rail or civil engineering projects.
* Degree in Civil Engineering or Time Served (equivalent experience).
* Strong understanding of rail construction methods and standards.
