Line Cover ( Rota) – Early Shifts - 7 - 3 and Late shifts – 2 – 10… Includes some weekends
44-bed service for single homeless people aged 16-22
Our customers come with a range of support needs, such as those associated with mental health, care leaver status, probation, ex-offending, domestic violence, learning disabilities and asylum seeking
You will join a lively, supportive, and friendly team to work together to provide an excellent service for our young people.
You will be required to support a caseload of at least 8 customers to:
• Identify their strengths as part of our asset-based approach and identify their needs, opportunities, rights, and responsibilities to enable them to move onto to independent living
• Plan and set targets to achieve and take appropriate action to meet their goals and aspirations
• Take part in activities and provide them with opportunities that generate aspiration and confidence
• Actively promoting customer involvement and co-production.
• Create management plans alongside customers by identifying and assessing risk to ensure they are able to stay safe.
• Establish supportive and professional relationships with customers and dealing effectively with unpredictable and challenging situations in a professional and sensitive manner.
• Support our customers to identify positive move on options and live more independent lives.
• Ensure our customers can thrive and achieve their potential.
• Liaise with external partners, including accessing appropriate statutory and voluntary services.
• Ensure fair access through interviewing and assessing the suitability of referrals, based on the criteria of the project.
• Support and lead colleagues, using your existing knowledge and experience when appropriate.
• Encourage and support customers to raise complaints, comments and suggestions.
A key part of the role is enabling customers to gain necessary support from other agencies so you will need to be able to network/build relationships with those in other organisations and support customers through their processes to access the support they need such as accessing benefits, housing and education.
You need knowledge of safeguarding and how this may apply in the day-to-day work we do as well as. understanding of the reasons why people become homeless and the needs and challenges they face and of statutory as well as the voluntary resources available
