We currently have two posts available. The posts are for between 24.5 and 35 hours per week, (either 2.5 days or 3.5 days), with full days being from 8.00am to 6.30pm.
Applicants need to be smart, friendly and reliable. The ability to work well under pressure is essential, with excellent customer service skills, greeting patients and answering telephones in a confident, professional and courteous manner.
Flexible working is essential, as is willingness to cover for holidays and sickness.
Salary: £12.25 per hour.

Role Summary
To be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of general support to the multidisciplinary team. Duties can include, but are not limited to, greeting and directing patients, effective use of the appointment system, booking appointments, the processing of information and assisting patients as required.
To act as the central point of contact for patients, be responsible for the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaise with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.
To perform administrative tasks efficiently and accurately.
Primary Key Responsibilities
The following are the core Receptionist / Administrator responsibilities:
1. Maintain and monitor the practice appointment system.
2. Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointments.
3. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the caller's request appropriately.
4. Signpost patients to the correct service.
5. Initiating contact with and responding to requests from patients, team members and external agencies.
6. Photocopy documentation as required.
7. Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as required.
8. Process repeat prescription requests in accordance with practice guidelines.
9. Scan patient related documentation and attach scanned documents to patients healthcare records.
10. Action incoming emails and correspondence as necessary.
11. Dealing with incoming and outgoing post.
12. Order and monitor stationery supplies as required.
13. Handling cash and card payments from patients correctly and accurately.
14. Input data into patients healthcare records as necessary.
15. Direct requests for information, i.e., SAR, insurance/solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative team.
16. Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient manner.
17. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times.
18. Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requested.
19. Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with practice procedures.
20. Acting as a fire marshal following practice procedures.
