Job summary An experienced and committed optometrist is required to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis. Optometrists at NUH work closely with colleagues within multi-disciplinary team and are extensively involved in a range of extended roles, including Keratoconus, Cataract, Eye casualty, PCO same day assessment and treatment service, Glaucoma, Macula and, Diabetic clinics. The job plan for the successful candidate will be aligned to both service need and previous clinical experience. This role provides the opportunity to enrol for an Advanced Clinical Practice Ophthalmology level 7 apprenticeship with supported clinical experience. The role is suitable for optometrists with previous post-registration hospital experience, for a candidate with less experience starting at band 6 with progression through to band 7. The successful candidate will be supported in their development, the Ophthalmology department also supports the achievement of Independent prescribing qualification.
