Team Administrator

We are the Mental Health & Learning Disability NHS Trust for County Durham and Darlington, Teesside, North Yorkshire, York and Selby.
An exciting opportunity for a Team Administrator has arisen. The main responsibilities of the role will be to provide full administrative support to the Managers within the Team. Excellent communication skills are essential as well as the necessity to maintain confidentiality, have the ability to work to tight deadlines, use your initiative and carry out a multitude of tasks with limited supervision.
You must have the Right to Work in the UK in order to be successfully appointed to this role. Please note, this role does not meet the required eligibility criteria for sponsorship under the Skilled Worker visa.
Main duties of the job
1. To provide a comprehensive, confidential administrative support service to the team.
2. To be aware of work priorities and needs of self and managers to ensure all required deadlines are met.
3. To ensure continued professional development through accessing relevant training as agreed with line manager and the service requirements of the organisation.
4. Responsible for the provision of an administrative service to the managers, ensuring that timely, accurate work is produced to deadline and work of a highly confidential, sensitive nature is handled with discretion, tact and compassion.
Person specification
Qualifications
* Level 3 Qualification in relevant field or equivalent experience or willingness to work towards Level 3 qualification in Leadership and Management.
* Key skills/functional skills in literacy and numeracy Level 2 OR O Level (Grade C and above/New GCSE in Maths and English (Grade 4 to 9) are an essential requirement to be fully competent in the role.
Experience
* Experience of working in an administrative environment (diary management, filing systems, meeting coordination, minute taking, data input, collating and presenting information).
* Customer Service experience (face to face, answering calls, correspondence).
* Experience of organising competing demands and workloads.
* Experience of supporting/supervising staff.
Knowledge
* Comprehensive knowledge of secretarial and administrative procedures.
* Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
* Understanding of confidentiality and the associated legal and policy requirements.
Skills
* Must be able to communicate effectively in the English language and demonstrate both verbal and written comprehensive skills.
* Must be able to work on own initiative, prioritise work and consistently meet deadlines.
