What is the opportunity?
The Associate will work closely with the Client & Marketing Strategy group to support the development, management, and implementation of content marketing programs and projects aligned to key business priorities for Global Markets and Global Investment Banking.
This individual will also partner with and support the broader marketing team on a variety of strategic and tactical marketing programs, gaining meaningful exposure to business units across capital markets. The role is designed for a growth-oriented individual seeking to build a career as part of a high-performing marketing organisation.
This position will be highly focused on all aspects of content planning, development, management, execution, and analysis to support strategic business objectives, strengthen client engagement and effectively tell the RBC story.
The Associate can expect to work across omni-channel executions, including digital and traditional touchpoints, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the digital experience is optimised and in line with the client journey strategy.
The successful candidate will work closely with members of the Client and Marketing Strategy Group in Canada, the US and Asia-Pacific, to execute marketing strategies to support the business.
What will you do?
Reporting to the Head of Sponsorships and Business Marketing in Europe with a dotted line to the VP, Business Marketing, Europe, this individual will focus on high priority initiatives aligned to RBCCM strategic priorities, including growing brand awareness and understanding through promotion of our differentiated insights, advice and thought leadership, as well as deepening and expanding client engagement.
The Marketing Associate responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Support branded content creation, including market insights and thought leadership targeted to clients in Global Investment Banking and Global Markets.
* Work with contracted editorial and digital marketing resources to help develop content for multiple mediums â web articles, social posts, podcasts, video, email, newsletters, etc.
* Collaborate with global partners across business marketing teams to align campaigns and content initiatives.
* Support the creation and management of our local social media channels, partnering closely with our global social media team.
* Assist the Head of Sponsorships and Business Marketing and VP, Business Marketing in analysing and reporting on content effectiveness at engaging with targeted client audiences by monitoring, evaluating and reporting on marketing activities using measurement data and analytics. Tailoring future campaigns accordingly.
* Help identifies and contribute to workflow processes improvements to ensure successful on-time completion of projects (including compliance review and approval).
* Support internal activation efforts to inform RBCCM employees of major Content Marketing campaigns.
* Maintains content calendars and planning documents to ensure timely content creation and production process.
* Support conference planning, activation and content creation for major industry conferences and targeted events.
* Develop a strong understanding of what makes content shareable with the appropriate target audiences.
* Monitor and evaluate website analytics to review performance and assist with site audits, competitor assessments and strategic analysis on certain projects.
* Support Marketing and Corporate Communications partners on major brand initiatives that benefit the broader firm in Europe and globally.
