If so, Milton Keynes College has an exciting opportunity for you as a Digital Learning Facilitator. This role involves promoting digital education, facilitating access to online learning, and supporting learners in completing their qualifications. You will also serve as a point of contact for prospective and current students of The Open University, managing administrative processes and data related to the learning experience. Key Responsibilities Student Recruitment and Support: Maximise student recruitment onto learning programmes and support their learning goals within the prison. Promote the College's offerings through workshops and one-on-one discussions. Facilitate tutorials between prisoners and their Open University tutors via telephone. Course Guidance: Provide appropriate guidance to students when selecting courses and support the education allocation process. Assessment Delivery: Conduct ICT/paper-based initial assessment and screening assessments to identify students' learning goals. Administrative Tasks: Ensure efficient operation of the Initial Assessment Process, including monitoring delivery, collating and analysing data, maintaining filing systems, and producing documents. Support prisoners in completing applications for the Open University and Student Finance. Collaboration: Work in partnership with HMPPS and other agencies to support the induction process for new prisoners and deliver support services. Act as the point of contact between the Open University and the prisoners for all Open University queries. Database Management: Maintain College, student, and Prison Service information databases and provide additional administrative support as needed. Marketing and Communication: Liaise with teaching staff regarding marketing activities and represent the education department to other areas. Professional Development: Undertake development and training to enhance operational competence, including prison-specific mandatory training. Digital Facilitation: Register and support learners undertaking self-study of AIM qualifications via our online learning platform, “Virtual Campus.” Qualifications and Experience Education: Good basic general education, including GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths and English at Grade C or above. Experience: Experience of working with ICT is essential to this role. The ideal candidate would have experience in presenting to small groups of people and demonstrable experience of administration. Skills: Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, and internet systems. Ability to plan, communicate, and problem-solve effectively.
