We are looking for a dedicated, organized, and motivated individual to join our friendly Stores team in the Pharmacy Department at Watford General Hospital.
The position is full-time, requiring 37.5 hours per week, with a work schedule of 7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.
The successful candidate will receive training and instruction for a Level 2 NVQ in pharmacy service skills and pharmaceutical science. This will involve learning remotely or travelling to college supported by regular study sessions in the department.
The post involves:
1. Daily stock maintenance activities.
2. Picking and packing medicine requisitions for dispatch to internal and external locations.
3. Providing a medicines top-up service to ward and departments at Watford General Hospital.
4. Handling stock in various sizes, weights and quantities.
The successful applicant must be adaptable and flexible, capable of working under pressure in response to sudden changes in service needs.
