Join a leading housing association and make a difference in local communities! We are looking for a Neighbourhood Response Officer to ensure safe, clean, and well-maintained neighbourhoods while supporting residents and tackling tenancy issues.
THE ROLE
As a Neighbourhood Response Officer, you will be responsible for delivering excellent neighbourhood services and ensuring estates remain great places to live.
1. Carry out regular estate inspections and follow up on fire safety risk assessments
2. Investigate and address tenancy breaches, including anti-social behaviour (ASB) cases
3. Work with residents, community groups, and external agencies to improve neighbourhoods
4. Support vulnerable tenants and assess their need for ongoing tenancy sustainment
5. Conduct property visits, tenancy sign-ups, and assignments
6. Represent the organisation in court when required and attend evictions or hearings
7. Assist in major incidents and coordinate temporary tenant relocations
THE CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role within housing or neighbourhood services.
1. Strong customer service skills with experience dealing with tenants face-to-face
2. Knowledge of tenancy agreements, housing law, and ASB management
3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams and external partners
4. Excellent communication skills and ability to handle challenging situations
5. A proactive and solution-focused approach to neighbourhood improvements
6. Full driving licence with use of own vehicle
THE CONTRACT
1. Temporary – 3 months
2. The pay rate for the role is £22.03 per hour LTD company rate. The PAYE equivalent is £18.78 to per hour, inclusive of holiday.
