Job Title: Teaching Assistant Location: North West England, Lancashire, Blackpool Job Type: Temporary, expected to work Full-Time hours Primary Industry: Education and Training Salary: £12.90 - £13.50 Per hour Job Duties: Supporting classroom teachers in delivering lessons Assisting students with learning activities Providing one-on-one support to students as needed Supervising students during break times Assisting with classroom management and behaviour Preparing materials and resources for lessons Required Qualifications: GCSEs in English and Maths Experience working with children in an educational setting Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work well in a team Education: A relevant qualification in Education or Teaching Assistance is desirable Experience: Prior experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of educational practises and principles Ability to build rapport with students and teachers Organisational skills and attention to detail Patience and empathy towards students Preferred Qualifications: Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools Working Conditions: The role may involve standing for long periods and assisting students with physical tasks.
