Main responsibilities and key outcomes
As the Civil / Fencing Supervisor you will be reporting directly into the Project Manager, you will be working on a portfolio of projects at various stages of delivery ensuring that project timescales, health & safety and standards are delivered first time, every time. You will ensure risks are managed and that the projects outcomes are met. This will involve working closely with the Project Manager to assist decision making whilst supervising teams of civil and fencing operatives over multiple sites/ projects.
This is a full-time opportunity based on Sizewell Power Station office with travel required to other sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. Control of work on site and implementing/maintaining effective Service Delivery/Quality/Health & Safety and Environmental controls
2. Supervising the day-to-day activities on site under the instruction of the Project/ Site Manager
3. Deliver Setting to Work/ Pre Job-Briefs and Toolbox Talks and any other information as instructed
4. Issuing of Permits to Work where there is increased safety or environmental risks
5. Ensuring site activities comply with company procedures, risk assessments and method statements and that records are retained in accordance with the planned requirements
6. Notifying Project/ Site Manager immediately in the event of a Health & Safety or Environmental accident or near miss
7. Ensuring that any environmental incident is cleaned up/contained and reported immediately to the Project/ Site Manager
8. Experience and capability in supervising the delivery of projects compiled of large project teams with multiple elements on a cross discipline and/or multi supplier basis.
9. Brings this knowledge to bear to ensure best practice across projects.
10. Supervision of all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality, Resourcing and Plan Delivery of all elements of the Projects
11. Provide information to assist with the Commercial/ Estimating Process
12. Ensuring records are kept in accordance with Company guidelines.
13. Ensuring the manpower levels are sufficient for the project
14. Contributing to the implementation of new concepts and techniques
15. Ensuring documented management procedures are implemented across all sites/ projects.

Educational Qualification Required (preferred):
31. City & Guilds or NVQ
32. CSCS – Supervisor
33. SSSTS/ IOSH
You will be required to complete EDF/ Dalkia supervisor training including but not limited to, Level 3 Field Supervision, Nominated Competent Person.
Previous Work Experience Required:
34. Minimum 5 years of Supervisory experience within Power/ Oil & Gas/ Pharmaceutical Industry.
35. Nuclear Experience Preferred
