Global Rail Construction Ltd is part of the Global Infrastructure Group and is a leading UK provider of design and build services to clients in the rail and transportation sector.
The company is a principal contractor for UK mainline and metro railways across a number of disciplines, which include signalling, mechanical, electrical and power (MEP), telecoms, civil and structural engineering, maintenance, renewal, providing a fully tested and commissioned service, on both Network Rail and Transport For London controlled infrastructure.
We are currently seeking an IRSE Signalling Installation Team Leader to work on a variety of Rail Signalling projects across the UK.
Job Description:
* The role is predominately site based providing signalling support within various signalling installation works.
* Lead a team of skilled Installation staff in all manners of Signalling Installation to a laid standard of quality.
* Plan and organise the installation activity to ensure specifications, design and materials requirements are actioned and the work is carried out to the timescales as specified in the Work Package Plan and Task Briefings.
* Carry out review of Signalling diagrams.
* Complete /Sign off work allocation forms and report site progress as required.
* Candidates should note that the position will require travel throughout the UK at certain times.
Successful Applicants Will Have:
* 2 years Minimum IRSE rail signalling experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively.
* Hold SMTH competence.
* Hold PTS (AC/DC), Network Rail ICI, Lookout, SWL, LUL & SIG 4 track safety competencies.
* Hold Manual Handling, Small tools and First Aid at Work competency.
* Proven experience of team leadership and influencing staff.
* Previous experience of Installation and construction activities associated with multiple types of Signalling equipment.
* Able and willing to drive – Full UK driving licence.
* Able and willing to lodge away.
