To provide an effective engineering service to the production team and respond to demands in a timely fashion. To maintain equipment both proactively and reactively to ensure factory performance meets targets and KPIs. To improve equipment availability and performance to meet OEE targets through identifying and implementing improvements.
To proactively use the PPM System in place (SAP) for the capture of all engineering labour and parts.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Carry out speedy responses to all plant stoppages in a safe manner.
2. To provide effective breakdown cover to the production department.
3. To maintain and adjust the equipment and to carry out repairs and servicing to ensure optimum performance.
4. To carry out planned maintenance within the individual's competence
5. To fault find and repair machines
6. To ensure that all equipment operates efficiently producing product according to the specification.
7. Working with single and three phase electrical systems.
8. To work closely with the Engineering leadership team to ensure that any faults beyond the competence of the Engineer are reported and rectified promptly via third party if required.
9. To ensure that Health and Safety rules (including COSHH) are complied with and that staff are fully aware of their Health & Safety responsibilities with respect to operating machinery.
