This Cramlington office-based role (6 months temporary) is varied and fast-paced, providing administrative support to the site but plays a key role in the site communications strategy which includes some front-facing reception work. The role is pivotal in supporting our diverse and inclusive culture and organizing key events with customers and employees.
Key Responsibilities
* Championing all DE&I activities across the site
* Key stakeholder in implementing the site communication strategy to support employee engagement.
* Ensuring site compliance with key documentation i.e., induction, job descriptions, site branding, etc.
* Facilitating rewards and recognition schemes including ideas and innovations
* Organizing internal and external events, many of which are site-wide
* Mentoring site apprentices where applicable
* Partnering with local schools and driving volunteering initiatives, career fairs, etc.
* Promoting charity fundraising activities across the site
* Adhering to all site policies and procedures
* Performing switchboard duties and welcoming visits to ensure compliance that site procedures are followed (i.e., inductions, PPE worn)
* Handling and processing all incoming and outgoing post and arranging couriers
Knowledge, Training and Experience
* Computer literate ideally with Google
* Excellent organizational and planning skills
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to engage and influence various stakeholders
* Ability to work under pressure and be pragmatic to achieve desired outcomes
* Flexibility and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines
* Driving license
* Previous experience working in an administration role within the manufacturing industry
* Experience of mentoring and coaching
* Passion for improving health and wellbeing
* Innovative thinker and resilient
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
