Here at Principal Resourcing, we have a wonderful opportunity for a friendly and highly motivated Inclusion Support Worker to provide maternity cover across one of our partnership Primary Schools based in Leeds, LS11. The full-time role will support pupils across the EYFS classroom with a range of SEND needs from January 2025. You will work in collaboration with the SEND and Inclusion Team to make a real difference to the lives of children within your care.
The Primary School, located a short distance from Leeds city centre, is proud to offer unique and culturally diverse learning opportunity for all students. Staff work together to ensure effective levels of support, positive progression and high engagement, with emphasis on strong partnership with parents and inclusive learning. You will work under the direction of the Senior Leader for inclusion and will be accountable for enriching and exciting learning opportunities within a supportive EYFS provision.
You can expect to earn up to £100 per day for this role, depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
* a professional, committed, conscientious and hard-working approach;
* an understanding of how children learn most effectively, including those with special educational needs in cognition and learning, communication and interaction and/or pupils with sensory and complex SEND needs;
* experience of successfully improving outcomes for SEND learners;
* experience of contributing to and role modelling practice and approaches that supports all learners to access inclusive classrooms;
* the ability to follow direction from others but also use their initiative;
* experience (or the desire to develop skills) in intensive interaction strategies such as PECs;
* the confidence to challenge behaviours in a caring and patient manner;
* the ability to engage and build positive and professional relationships with parents and carers;
* a commitment to high standards of behaviour, engagement in learning and pupil achievement and progress;
* excellent literacy, numeracy and communication skills;
* the ability to work flexibly, including working across the primary age range;
* a sustained commitment to their professional development.
We are seeking an applicant with:
* A full and relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Previous SEN experience is desirable.
* Confidence, inclusivity, and passion for supporting pupil progression.
* Strong subject knowledge and familiarity with the UK Curriculum.
* An enhanced DBS disclosure or be willing to obtain one through us.
* Right to Work in the UK, unfortunately we are unable to offer Visa Sponsorship.
