Job Title: Goods In / Goods Out Warehouse Operative
Location: West London
Job Type: Full-time (37.5 hours)
Salary: £24k - £27k, based on experience
Job Overview: A dedicated and efficient Goods In / Goods Out Operative is sought to join a team in West London. This role is crucial for ensuring that stock is received, stored, and dispatched efficiently while maintaining high standards of accuracy and quality control.
Key Responsibilities:
Goods In:
* Receiving deliveries and checking for accuracy against purchase orders.
* Inspecting goods for quality, damage, or discrepancies.
* Unloading, unpacking, and properly storing stock.
* Updating stock records in the stock management system and liaising with the warehouse manager.
Goods Out:
* Picking, packing, and dispatching customer and wholesale orders.
* Ensuring accurate labelling and order documentation.
* Coordinating with couriers and arranging shipments.
* Conducting final quality checks before dispatch.
* Ensuring all parcels are ready for collection by DPD at 4 PM daily.
General Duties:
* Assisting with production tasks as needed, including packing and cooking products.
* Maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
* Assisting with stock rotation and inventory management.
* Following health and safety regulations.
* Using warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks and forklifts (if licensed).
* Handling customer inquiries and occasional face-to-face interactions.
* Managing and responding to emails efficiently.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Previous warehouse or logistics experience preferred but not essential.
* Experience using stock management systems.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Good organizational and time-management skills.
* Ability to work well as part of a team.
* Strong email communication skills.
* Basic IT skills for stock management and order processing.
* Comfortable with occasional customer-facing interactions.
* Physically fit and able to lift heavy loads safely.
Working Hours & Additional Information:
* Shifts are 6am to 2pm or 7am to 3pm.
* Flexibility required, working 5 days out of 7, including some weekends.
