An exciting opportunity has arisen to work within the Resuscitation Services at UHD.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual with a passion for both education and clinical practice.
As part of a team you will be responsible for developing, and delivering a wide range of clinically focused resuscitation and deteriorating patient training programmes to all levels of staff in adult and paediatric areas. You will also be working clinically as part of the medial emergency teams, providing expert clinical advice and support.

There will be opportunities to be part of our transformational and service improvement projects as well as opportunities to develop clinically and educationally.

Base Location: Royal Bournemouth and Poole Hospital
Interview Date: TBC
The successful applicant will be expected to deliver basic to advanced level life support course as well as deliver structured training around the deteriorating patient. You will also be involved in local and national auditing of emergency calls and, using this information, may be required to deliver debrief, support and education to the clinical teams directly involved in the event. The successful applicant will be expected to work as a member of the medical emergency teams, attending a range of adult and paediatric emergencies.
As a new Resuscitation Officer (Band 6) in post you will be supported in developing educational and clinical competencies to fulfil your job role and once in post you will be supported to achieve the competencies required for a Senior Resuscitation Officer (Band 7). Existing Resuscitation Officers and applicants with a background in education and acute clinical practice including being a current instructor for ALS (or equivalent paediatric) will be considered for a Band 7 post on appointment.
