The Institute for Academic Development are looking for two experienced administrators to support the Future Leaders Fellows Development Network.
The Future Leaders Fellows Development Network is funded by UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). The network will support over 650 Future Leaders Fellows to form cohorts, develop leadership and engage with the UKRI. The Network is based in 9 industrial and Higher Education Institutions (University of Edinburgh, Cardiff University, Queen's University Belfast, University of Leeds, School of Advanced Study University of London, Vertical Future, University of Cambridge, University of Glasgow, University College London) as well as additional external partners who support the delivery of our network activities.
Both roles involve providing comprehensive, professional, and efficient administrative support for the Network.
Role 1: Administrative Officer - Future Leaders Fellows Development Network. This role's focus includes administrative support for various project activities, support for organising Advisory and Project Board meetings, some project delivery support in relation to Network meetings and events, financial administrative tasks, and making team travel and accommodation bookings.
Role 2: Events Administrative Officer - Future Leaders Fellows Development Network. This role's focus includes event coordination and administrative support for online, hybrid and in-person events, some communications support activity, customer service to Fellows, and some general administrative and project support across all project areas.
The roles will require some UK travel in support of network activity and events (typically one trip per month, spread unevenly across the year).
These posts are full-time (35 hours per week), currently based in the Institute for Academic Development. We operate under a hybrid working policy (hybrid working on a non-contractual basis, that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working). FLFDN team members are required to be on campus one or two days a week.
Vocational qualifications (N/SVQ 3, ONC or equivalent) plus work experience in a relevant role
Demonstrable experience working in an administrative role with multiple priorities
Very good organisational skills and experience with record keeping and data entry
Very good written and oral communication skills, and highly competent in the use of standard office software packages
Experience of providing high-quality customer service and being a good team player
Proven ability to use initiative and judgement effectively to resolve day to day issues independently and prioritise own work with effective time management
Experience of working in a customer-focussed environment, events or communications is desirable.
Experience working in a project or programme environment within a Higher Education Institution (HEI) is desirable.
