The Sinclair Group are currently hiring on behalf of our client. Following an expansion, they are looking for a Domestic Appliance Engineer.
As a Domestic Appliance Engineer, your primary responsibilities will be to:
1. Inspect, repair, install, and service laundry, food storage, and cooking appliances.
2. Service call jobs for the day, including customer contact details, product details, and fault description.
3. Organise the day's schedule in line with timing constraints and geographical area.
4. Drive from call to call.
5. Communicate with customers and call centre.
6. Perform onsite safety checks.
7. Process and order parts online if the item of stock is not carried in the van.
8. Make arrangements with the customer for a return visit.
The successful applicant will need to have the following qualities/skills:
1. Previous experience is required; however, someone with good electrical and/or mechanical skills might be considered.
2. Hold a valid driver's licence.
3. Good geographical knowledge of Newbury.
4. Able to engage well with customers and provide first-class service.
5. Communicate effectively with people at all levels.
6. Quick learner and able to process new information.
7. Motivated, dedicated, and hardworking.
8. Computer literate.
9. Physically fit, as the role involves varying degrees of bending, squatting, lifting, stretching, and reaching.
Standard working hours are 40 per week.
