The Role
An opportunity has arisen at Northampton to join the Production Team as an Operative. We are looking for a highly motivated, focused and driven individual who can demonstrate a positive can-do attitude together with excellent organisation skills. It is expected that the successful applicant will be a strong communicator with ability to support continuous drive for increased production output and reduced wastage.
Previous experience within a manufacturing process operation is preferred, but full training will be provided. It is expected that Production Operatives will be able to train in multiple areas providing a multi skilled and flexible team.
The key responsibilities will include:
Operating machines within production
General manual handling
Basic computer tasks
Understanding as well as appreciation of both Health & Safety and Quality
The ideal candidate will be:
Minimum Grade 4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Able to prioritise workload to achieve deadlines
A good team player able to work as part of a crew and on their own
Self-motivated
Have good attention to detail
Good communication skills both written and verbal
The role operates on a 3-week rotating pattern of lates (2pm-10pm), earlies (6am - 2pm) and nights (10pm - 6am).
