Our OEM Client based in Gaydon or Whitley is searching for a Supplier Quality Management Engineer to join their team, inside IR35. This is a 12-month initial contract position until 31st March 2026, with potential for extension.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.
The position is based at Gaydon or Whitley but offers a hybrid working model, with more than 50% of the time spent at supplier sites. Some home working is possible, but the role primarily involves supplier visits or work at the client's site. A valid driving license and willingness to travel within the UK, mainly around the Midlands, are required.
Requirements
Supplier Quality Management Engineering involves planning, organizing, directing, and reporting on supplier-provided raw materials, designed/manufactured goods, and packaging materials to ensure they meet or exceed requirements. Key responsibilities include:
* Verifying and validating that suppliers and subcontractors have received engineering, manufacturing, and quality requirements.
* Monitoring quality control activities and systems at supplier and subcontractor facilities.
* Implementing programs to improve supplier performance and productivity.
* Reviewing and analyzing corrective action reports to reduce or eliminate defects.
* Performing deviation investigations into quality issues as needed.
* A Specialist Professional (P4) is a recognized subject matter expert, typically with advanced education and extensive work experience. Responsibilities include:
* Managing large projects or processes with minimal oversight.
* Coaching, reviewing, and delegating work to lower-level professionals.
* Handling difficult and complex problems.
