Job summary The post holder will be responsible for the performance of the RTT and Referrals administration team and will line manage the seven members of staff. The post holder will be required to have a high level of RTT and pathway knowledge to explain and guide staff through the several complex pathways the trust has. You will work closely with the individual services, and oversee the smooth running of the registration and validation of patient pathways. We expect you to be hard working, engaged and supportive towards your colleagues. You will have to learn and practice a number of different administrative functions and to offer feedback and suggestions to improve the service, as well as supporting the team to do the same. Main duties of the job RTT validation: ensuring the trusts RTT waiting list is fully validated, data quality is of the highest standard in relation to RTT, and support the performance team in validation of pathways for external and internal audits. Referrals: to ensure the smooth running of the registration of patients, managing staff's workloads and prioritising work when required. Service development and analytics: to support the services in achieving the trusts RTT targets, and producing complex RTT and referrals data reports, analysing trends and put forward any actions where areas of improvement are identified. Leadership and people management: line manager for the RTT and Referrals Team (7 staff members), this would include recruitment responsibilities, leading team meetings, and participating in the trusts annual appraisal process for all staff members. Communication: to communicate and exchange, with all staff levels, complex RTT information, using negotiation and persuasive skills. Education and training: leading on group training sessions in relation to the application of the RTT rules and the trusts access policy, as well as individual staff training.
