Finance Analyst - Corporate and Commercial Location: Peterborough Department: Finance Salary Details: Not Specified Advertising End Date: Not Specified Job Description Your team: This role will be within the Corporate and Commercial Finance team based in Peterborough. We have a large part to play in the success of our business and are responsible for all of the Management reporting for the Publishing sector of News UK, including Costs (Editorial, Marketing, Production and Overhead), Revenue (Subscriptions, Circulation and Advertising) and CapEx. We are seeking talented professionals to join us on a Fixed Term Contract to backfill our core roles during a pivotal transformation project. As we transition from our ageing SAP system to the state-of-the-art S4 HANA, our core teams will be leading this change, and we need skilled individuals to ensure business continuity and support during this period. Day to day you will: - Reporting - Preparation of weekly submissions and month end reporting - Analysis - Reconciling actual spend to weekly management accounts and Forecast/Budget - Reconciliations - Completing Balance Sheet reconciliations and monthly commentary, Investigating GRNI balances and parked/blocked invoices - Business Partnering - Supporting the London Finance teams with ad hoc queries and meeting with stakeholders to understand drivers for variances - Capitalisation of Fixed Assets and ad hoc support to CapEx team - Ad hoc support to the team as needed What we're looking for from you: - Qualification & Experience - AAT qualified, actively studying for ACCA/CIMA professional examinations with at least 2 years relevant work experience - Analysis - strong analysis and data interpretation skills - Ability to get to grips with new financial reporting systems quickly e.g. IBM Cognos/TM1 and SAP, strong excel skills - Reporting & Compliance - ability to identify key performance indicators, adherence to reporting timetables and adoption of processes If you think you have what it takes but don't tick every requirement on the list, please do apply.
