Duties will include: supporting Renal Inpatient Services, Renal On calls, Renal Rapid Assessment 'Hot Clinics' to provide admission avoidance and early discharge to support acute front door services; outpatient management of Nephrology, Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis patients; teaching both within the department and the wider organisation in this is an exciting and innovative new role. Supporting our 14 Consultant Nephrologist are: 12 Junior doctors encompass: 6 x Specialty Training Registrars; 2 x IMT; 2 x FY2s and 2 x FY1. You will also be working with an incredibly robust Nursing, AHP and A&C teams. Main duties of the job This post will provide five core specialist roles: Acute inpatient Renal Medicine on Marlowe Ward at Kent and Canterbury Hospital (1 month in every 5 months) Renal On-calls: 1 in 10 Renal rapid assessment 'Hot Clinics' and Renal specialist advice and in-reach on the QEQM site 2-3 days each week General Nephrology clinic alternate weeks at Kent and Canterbury Hospital Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis clinical responsibility at both QEQM and Kent and Canterbury Hospital This post will initially be based around a 10 PA clinical job plan, including time for SPA (supporting professional activities) and administrative time.
