The Opportunity
The Practice, a trusted local practice, is looking for a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our compassionate and close-knit team. Known for their personal approach, they treat our clients and their pets as part of our extended family. This role is perfect for a nurse who is passionate about delivering quality, consistent care and appreciates the importance of maintaining a supportive and welcoming environment.
This role offers the chance to work in a well-equipped clinic where most treatments are carried out in-house, ensuring a seamless and continuous experience for both pets and their owners. With a commitment to thorough, affordable care, the team also liaises with referral centres for complex cases to ensure the best outcomes for all patients.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide attentive and high-quality nursing care to all pets, ensuring they receive comprehensive treatment in-house whenever possible.
2. Assist with routine procedures, including vaccinations, neutering, worming, and microchipping.
3. Conduct nurse-led consultations, providing dietary and nutritional advice and supporting clients with preventative healthcare plans.
4. Support the team in coordinating continuity of care and liaising with referral centres for advanced cases.
5. Help clients prepare for international travel.
6. Maintain a compassionate and supportive approach, ensuring clients feel valued and informed about their pet's care plan.
Requirements
1. RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse with a commitment to providing patient-focused care.
2. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
3. Confidence in managing routine procedures and offering practical, affordable advice tailored to each client's circumstances.
4. A friendly, approachable nature and a dedication to maintaining the warm, community-focused ethos of the clinic.
5. Willingness to continue learning and developing professionally within a collaborative team.
