Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive and results-driven Supply Chain Account Manager to oversee and optimise the end-to-end supply chain for waste management solutions. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong relationship management skills to develop partnerships with suppliers, hauliers, and customers, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant waste management services. The role will include travel, as on-site supplier visits are a key part of the role. Key Responsibilities: Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with waste suppliers. Supply Chain Optimisation: Identify and implement improvements in waste collection, transportation, and disposal to drive efficiency and sustainability. Compliance & Regulations: Ensure all our waste suppliers and internal management processes adhere to local, national, and environmental regulations, including duty of care and waste transfer documentation. Cost Control & Budgeting: Monitor and manage costs associated with supply chain management, negotiating contracts & rate cards to achieve the best value possible. Performance Monitoring: Track KPIs and supplier performance, implementing corrective actions where necessary to meet operational and service level agreements (SLAs). Customer Service: Act as the primary point of contact for waste suppliers. Market Analysis: Keep up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and sustainability initiatives to inform strategic decisions. Reporting: Prepare and present reports on waste supplier performance, cost savings, and environmental impact to key stakeholders. Skills & Experience Required: Proven experience in account management, supply chain management, or waste management. Strong understanding of waste regulations and environmental compliance. Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships. Ability to analyse data, identify trends, and implement cost-saving initiatives. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and supply chain management software. Full UK driving licence (if applicable). Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with waste brokerage, recycling, or sustainability initiatives. Knowledge of waste tracking software and reporting tools .
