Contracts Advisor - Kingston upon Thames
On behalf of a major EPC company, WRS are looking for a Contracts Advisor to work in Kingston upon Thames on a contract basis. This will be a 12 month renewable contract, paying an hourly rate OUTSIDE IR35.
The role will be supporting a pipeline EPC project.
Job Duties:
* Review and qualify or draft different types of contracts, including but not limited to: engineering, procurement, construction (EPC), transportation and installation, service contracts, as well as associated confidentiality agreements, non-disclosure and restrictive use agreements; partnership/consortium/joint venture/alliance agreements, subcontract agreements;
* Manage the workload in coordination with Tendering/Commercial, Project Management and Procurement functions, collecting the inputs from the other functions, including Insurance, Tax and Finance;
* Prepare Contract Summaries on a tender/project specific basis;
* Advise Company and Corporate Management on the main contractual risks, identifying and proposing contractual mitigation actions;
* Participate in meetings (with internal clients, external clients, partners and subcontractors), negotiating, taking notes and preparing summaries and/or Minutes of Meeting;
* Negotiate the contractual instruments with the counterparties in the best interests of the Company and in accordance with Company risk policies;
* Support the Project Management teams in the determination of claims and contract management strategies, in the preparation and evaluation of variation order requests, and in the drafting of key project correspondence towards clients, major subcontractors and/or other interfacing third parties.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience on similar projects.
* Proven experience of reviewing and advising on tendering contracts and of administrating project contracts and effective negotiation skills are essential.
* Proven experience negotiating and executing offshore construction contracts.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, listening and influencing.
* Right to work in the UK.
