I encourage applicants to have knowledge of groundwork and civil materials and to have already worked as a Buyer within the Construction Sector.
In this role, you will need to have great interpersonal skills that allow you to build good relationships, negotiate, and procure goods/materials successfully. It's key you have experience managing accounts/suppliers and understand the value of collaborating with site teams and management to provide the best possible service.
You will be negotiating prices to procure goods and services, coordinating deliveries to site teams, dealing with purchase orders, invoice queries, and collating with site teams to manage any documentation/material orders to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Any experience in buying Plant/Tools would be beneficial, as well as managing/setting up rebates and overseeing group deals.
