We’re looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our client in Avonmouth. Our client is a leading logistics company that specialises in chilled distribution. This job is perfect for someone who has warehouse experience and loves working in a fun team. No experience? No problem, FULL training provided.
You’ll be responsible for order picking in a chilled environment. You will work 40 hours over 5 days each week, with some weekend working on a rota basis which you’ll know of far in advance. We offer a great salary and benefits package, including a 10% discount on shopping when you become a permanent member of staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Order picking: You will be responsible for picking orders accurately and efficiently from the chilled warehouse using a headset and handheld scanner. Attention to detail is key, ensuring the correct product and quantity are picked.
Quality control: You’ll be responsible for checking the quality of the products you pick, making sure they’re in good condition and meet the company’s standards.
Stock replenishment: You will be responsible for replenishing stock as required, ensuring that the warehouse is kept in a tidy and organised manner.
Health and safety: You’ll need to always follow health and safety procedures, including wearing the correct PPE and reporting any hazards or incidents.
Teamwork: You will be part of a team of warehouse operatives, and you will be expected to work closely with your colleagues to ensure that all orders are picked and dispatched on time.
Skills and Experience:
1. Previous experience in a warehouse environment is desirable but not essential, as full comprehensive training will be provided
2. Good communication skills, as you will be part of a team and will need to work closely with your colleagues and supervisors.
3. Good attention to detail, you’ll be responsible for picking orders accurately.
4. Good organisational skills, as you will need to keep the warehouse tidy and organised.
Pay:
0600-1400 shift: rising to after 12 weeks and after 27 weeks.
Overtime available paid hour.
