Design Studio Lead Crown are looking for a Design Studio Lead with Artwork experience to lead a team of 5 studio creatives, ensuring the team are set up for success when it comes to all aspects of delivery against creative briefs. The successful Candidate will be responsible for: People leader of the Crown Design Studio team, responsible for providing leadership, support and evaluating performance The output of work from the design studio, making sure brand guidelines are adhered to and there’s clear consistency across all brands. To be the relationship manager between the Design team and the Marketing team Manage all studio requests from the marketing team and rarely, the wider Crown team Assessing briefs as appropriate, liaising with designers to assist with studio time estimates and identifying the correct designers for each project. Planning the work into the studio - flexibility is important. The role will involve planning of quick turnaround jobs alongside larger, longer term, projects Quick, agile and effective solutions for same day issues may arise occasionally Ensuring all work is being saved to the design server on an ongoing basis and all filing protocols are being adhered to Liaising with the designers to identify where they require relevant training and upskilling To be a strong Graphic Designer and/or Artworker themselves, able to step into the role when the team are at capacity. About you Develop people: have the ability to develop the design studio team, identify and develop high potential candidates, coach and deliver feedback Must be able to drive performance and be comfortable with difficult conversations where necessary Execute soft management skills with the ability to build trust, honesty & openness within the team Have a high attention to detail. Understand the creative design process, end-to-end. Be organised and have the ability to continuously re-plan the studio workflow if higher priority projects come in.
