The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing financial and contractual aspects of HV connection schemes. The role: Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction projects Negotiate and prepare contractual variations with clients Conduct feasibility studies and analyse project specifications Prepare tender documentation Dispute resolution Track project changes and log variations Assess subcontractor applications Perform quantity take-offs and prepare bills of quantities Monitor project costs, provide cost control measures, value works on site Review and evaluate contractor bids and proposals Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions Prepare monthly payment applications, CVRs, progress reports and financial statements Prepare Early Warning Notice and Compensation Events Maximise commercial opportunities for the company, whilst also minimising risks Experience: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, within the utilities, construction or engineering sectors Experience of NEC3 and JCT forms of contract Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations Proficient in cost estimation software and MS Office Suite Excellent numerical and analytical skills Attention to detail and accuracy in calculations Effective communication and interpersonal skills This role could develop into a Commercial Manager position, so is ideal for someone keen to further their career within a thriving industry.
